WHAT ARE HYPNOSIS AND HYPNOTHERAPY?
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind. We all move in and out of such state everyday.
For example, when we read a book and become totally immersed in the characters that they
become so real to us that we feel with them and for them, that we create the scenes vividly in our head, we
are actually engaging the same brain areas that we do in hypnosis. Another example would be day dreaming. When we are so absorbed in our thoughts that we do not pay attention to what is happening around us.
In short, the state of hypnosis is a state of deep focus combined with a sense of safety and relaxation. In that state, one can access information from the subconscious mind, the part of the mind that we are unaware of, where every experience during our life has been stored, and where all our mind programming resides.
Hypnotherapy is simply the use of hypnosis as a tool to create changes you want to achieve in your life.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF HYPNOTHERAPY?
The purpose of hypnotherapy is to access unhelpful, hindering information that created the problem or block you want to address. Once this unhelpful information is accessed, we explore the information to gain perspective on it and reevaluate it so that it becomes helpful and healthy for you to solve your problem, remove your block, and achieve new positive goals. This technique frees you from your old unhelpful way of thinking, limiting beliefs, or unwanted behaviours, and allows you to grow into the person you want to be.
IS HYPNOTHERAPY SAFE?
Hypnosis is safe and a pleasant experience in which you are in control of your mind. You can come in and out of the state of hypnosis anytime you want. I will simply be guiding you to access parts of your subconscious mind to help you unlock your potential. You don't have to be afraid of revealing something you don't want to as you cannot do anything against your free will when in hypnosis.
Now, you might be thinking, 'what about people clucking like chicken on stage'? Well, stage hypnotists carefully select people who show that they are eager and willing to cooperate in the experience before doing their spectacular tricks. And I am not a stage hypnotist, I am a clinical hypnotherapist. As such, integrity, safety and empowerment of my clients are my core values. I simply offer you a safe space and support for you to work on your self development.
WHAT IS INNER CHILD INTEGRATION THERAPY?
Inner child work is a process that involves recovering and healing the wounded parts of ourselves that were formed during childhood. It is a practice of introspection and self-reflection, aimed at gaining awareness of how our childhood experiences may still be influencing our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships as adults. Inner child work helps us to identify and release limiting beliefs, negative patterns, and unresolved emotions that may be blocking us from living a fulfilling life. By nurturing and caring for our inner child, we can become whole and find inner harmony and balance, freeing ourselves from the conflicts of the past and unlocking our full potential in the present.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?
Every session is tailor made specifically to you. In our first session, we will take a brief yet thorough case history, discuss your objectives, answer any questions you have about the modalities we will be using for your sessions, and then begin to use mind training tools to achieve your result.
